Helms Show Kicks Off Third Year Offering L.A.’s Best Vintage
A special celebratory shopping event will be held by the Helms Design District Vintage Boutique.
LOS ANGELES — May 14, 2012 — Vintage enthusiasts and fashionistas throughout the Los Angeles area have made the Helms Design District Vintage Boutique trunk show in Culver City, Calif. their routine stop to find quality vintage clothing throughout the year, and now the show will kick off its third year of offering L.A.’s best vintage with a celebratory event on June 9, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hosted by Clever Vintage Clothing of downtown Los Angeles, the Helms show has grown to offer a variety of vendors providing classic, designer and repurposed women’s vintage clothing, vintage jewelry and vintage ephemera to shoppers five times a year.

To commemorate the beginning of the show’s third year, three Clever Vintage Clothing gift certificates with a total value of $300 will be given away in a raffle during a celebration at 3 p.m. Even scrumptious $3 offerings will be provided by the Girl Scouts of America, who will be catering the event for the second time in a row. Hungry shoppers taking advantage of the amazing vintage finds at the last Helms event specifically requested the return of the Scouts.
Also returning will be popular dealers including: Ellen Winer (Los Angeles), Little Treasures (Long Beach), Bom Bom Vintage (Los Angeles), Trésor de Vintage (New Port Beach), Linda Stevens Designs (Los Angeles) and Clever Vintage Clothing (downtown Los Angeles). Exciting new dealers will be at the event too including: Wear It Again Sam (San Diego) and Gloria’s Again (Los Angeles).
The Helms Design District Vintage Boutique is a fun and trouble-free Saturday outing for shoppers of all types. Parking is simple, the space is bright and airy, the vibe is extremely friendly and the merchandise offered is fashionable and hip. People know they can come to the Helms show and find one-of-a-kind items that will liven up their wardrobe or collection. And because it’s so easy to attend, people look forward to the entire excursion. There will even be on-site seamstress advising patrons of ways to repair/re-size garments that need it, and she will even make the alterations while they shop!
